  • CranioSacral Therapy

In words which cannot sufficiently explain the experiential... working from the inside out: to release emotional stress and physical strain

Xander's advanced CranioSacral Therapy (CST) training is uniquely Upledger based -

the original form of this most subtle and yet powerful therapy. Its specific client-centric

focus through the fascial tissues of the body allows for all parts of the clients' soft tissues

(organs, connective tissues, central nervous system, etc) to be wholly part of any

treatment session. CST combined with particular aspects of Jungian, Gestalt and Psychosysthesis therapies makes for SomatoEmotional Release (SER) work to allow

for emotional and physical residues, from any type of trauma withheld within the

body's tissues, to be released. The aims of CST treatments are to alleviate

neurological, physical and emotional problems to restore health and well-being.

The below lists some of the ailments and conditions with which Xander has had successful results. Whilst detailed individually, rarely does any one condition not affect other parts

of the body. The associations are not always obvious but they are part of the whole

body which has to carry them all and still deal with the every day.

  • Therapeutic Massage

    ...working from the outside in:

Xander's massage training (Swedish and Deep Tissue) is used for its therapeutic and

healing effects on the body. From the relief of muscular and skeletal pain to the treatment

of a wide range of conditions and ailments, massage has proven itself an effective tool for medicinal healing and general body maintenance. Massage has again entered the medical mainstream and is seen by many as an important adjunct to qualified medical treatment.

Xander is regularly exposed to many conditions, such as those listed below, which can

afflict anyone during their life. Whilst it is best to have it all attended to sooner, all too often they can become long standing conditions, but can still be addressed. Rarely does any one condition not affect other parts of the body; the associations are not always obvious but they are part of the whole body which has to carry them all and still has to deal with the every day.

I went to Xander Beal because I have had experience with cranio-sacral therapy when my son became ill at the age of 7. It had been extremely effective in healing him.

Over many months I suffered from bouts of terrible pain in my jaws, several times a day, and had become addicted to pain relief pills. It took a number of sessions with Xander Beal, but it worked. The pain went away. Three years’ later, apart from twinges, it is still gone. If it were to come back, I would not hesitate to return to Xander Beal. I feel the treatment worked on a lot of levels – and it has also helped me become a less anxious person.

I highly recommend this treatment to everyone! I cannot think of any one that I know who would not benefit from it.

My experience of craniosacral therapy with Xander has been consistently positive and profound in the near on three years that I have been receiving treatment. I first went to see him when recommended by a friend who had swiftly benefited from Xander's work.

My chronic condition with pain, and problems with my neck and head, following an accident, had reached crisis level. From the first session I immediately began to feel significant improvement, and over time with Xander's treatments I have become much, much better.

I have also discovered the positive effect that craniosacral therapy has on emotional stress. With my background in the 'talking therapies' I have been fascinated to find the profound way in which craniosacral therapy works physiologically, with the psyche and the soma.

There is an enduring reliability to Xander's work that enables the results to be so effective. I may be totally exhausted when coming to a treatment but afterwards I always feel 'integrated' and with my energy flowing.

My experience has taught me that these results stem not simply from Xander's treatment providing immediate relief from presenting problems, but they are also a reflection of the empowering quality of craniosacral therapy to work with the person's ability to heal themselves, building incrementally on the benefits each treatment provides.
